Located on the banks of the beautiful and scenic Suwannee River only a short drive from either Interstate 75 or Interstate 10 is the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Covering over 700 acres the park has many unique features. Located on the park grounds there is access to the Suwannee River with it's high rock walls and white, clean sand bars. There are patches of huge live oak trees, draped with Spanish moss, and large pine trees providing shade to the campers who enjoy the park year round. Cabins are available for rental as well as camp sites to suit any taste. There are full hook up camp sites for motor homes and primitive camp sites for tents. There is even an area set aside for horse camping, where you can bring your own horse and camp while enjoying the many riding trails in the park. If you don't have your own horse there is a riding stable on the park property where trail rides are offered. Canoe rentals are available at the Canoe Outpost on the park property for use in the river and longer trips may be scheduled. Canoe trips along the Suwannee River may be arranged. You will be dropped off at a point several miles up river from the park and paddle or drift back down the river. Special events are scheduled through out the year and many nationally known musicians perform at the park. There is a large out door concert area with a stage and a smaller ampitheater. Many different types of music are featured in the park at different times of the year. There is country music, blue grass music, and jazz. The weather is mild in the winter and warm in the summer. The scenery is always green and beautiful. If you are looking for a place to get away from the city, or simply want to stop off for an overnight camp out you could not find a better place in the north, central Florida area than the beautiful Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.
